Methodology

Practice records from the NHS Organisation Data Service are joined to NHS England General Practice Workforce statistics for the same reference month. Patients-per-FTE-GP is registered patients divided by full-time-equivalent GPs, computed per practice from the published figures. National totals are sums across the dataset; no estimation is applied.
